Paper Lei

$55.00

Make a splash at your next luau with this statement piece made with paper beads in the style of a Hawaiian Lei.

The beads are individually hand formed into organic shaped disks that have an appearance of shells or flowers, in a peach color.

Length is 28 inches, and perfect for wearing with your favorite Hawaiian shirt. A length of chain attached to a toggle clasp allows for it to sit comfortably on the back of the neck.

The process of making the beads includes adding a water-resistant retention agent and archival booking glue to the paper pulp, and a clear coat designed for jewelry to the entire necklace once it is complete. Excessive moisture should be avoided, but there are multiple layers of material that allow for normal wear. The pulp used for the beads is the same archival, high quality material I use for my handmade paper stationery.

This is a lightweight and stylish necklace you won't find any where else. No one will suspect the beads are made from paper, and is always a great conversation starter when you wear it!

This item is ready-to-ship, but custom inquiries can be made-to-order.
