I make paper

You make paper?

I’ve been making paper since 2014, my senior year at Columbus College of Art & Design where I majored in Illustration. I took the fine art path through, always experimenting with media and process. I had so many sketchbooks that were half used, dedicated to different classes. So, I began making my own journals with all the half used sketchbooks. That led to using the leftover paper to recycle and make my own. Paper making was easy enough to slowly build my own studio from things you can get most stores, many thrifted. Step by step I refined my process into higher quality paper, and I’m always refining! In 2018, my wife and I, and with our three cats, moved to Philadelphia. She works as a freelance photographer (www.katskaffbehnk.com) and I have my paper studio in our home.
