Made with paper beads in the style of a pukka shell necklace
Each bead is individually cut from thick handmade paper of white, beige, and peach colors.
A medium length of 22 inches, giving it plenty of length to comfortably fit over a collar without hanging too low. Secured with a lobster claw clasp.
The process of making the beads includes adding a water-resistant retention agent and archival booking glue to the paper pulp, and a clear coat designed for jewelry to the entire necklace once it is complete. Excessive moisture should be avoided, but there are multiple layers of material that allow for normal wear. The pulp used for the beads is the same archival, high quality material I use for my handmade paper stationery.
